So what do you guys think of me adding a superwash seacell/merino fingering weight in the future?

I love the sheen to it and the body, the feel and how it dyes up.

Here are a couple of skeins I played with a few weeks ago, to give you an idea-

I still need to knit up one of the skeins to really get a feel for it.

It has a boo-boo. We are pretty sure it’s the usb cord, Ben has ordered a new one and it should be here in a few days! I have yarn to photograph! Six self-striping yarns, three of which are new colorways. We have a lovely green & golden yellow called Ten Thousand Daffodils inspired by

And 2 fun ones inspired by my parents- Mama Was a Laker Girl, purple and gold for my mom the ultimate Laker fan & Daddy Was a Biker, black, silver and orange for my Harley loving dad.

I was aiming for a Thursday or Friday update, hopefully the usb cord is here by then and I can get everything photographed, tweaked and up. I’ll send out an e-mail of course.

I’ll let you guys know 6 of the 13 colorways coming to The Loopy Ewe Seems like a good compromise, that way the people that want to be surprised can be at least a little surprised!

There will be a small shop update tomorrow, 1 skein of Beat Sock, a couple skeins of Free Verse Sock and one FVS in the On Sale section. I have about 5 or so self-striping skeins drying and it takes for ever to wind those back up and re-skein them so no idea when that update will be, a week? I’ll let you know of course It’s such a small update right now because I’m working on a sock club order (not my sock club, not sure if one of those is in PDY’s future… thoughts?).

Hi guys! I’ve received lots of congratulatory e-mails and comments over the wholesale order, thank you!

I’m still as surprised about it as I was when I got the initial message from Sheri back in February.

I’ve also received a handful of e-mails asking which colors and base yarn will be available at The Loopy Ewe. I’m not sure how theses things usually go so I thought I’d ask you guys (I also asked on the PDY Ravelry Group), do you want to be surprised and find out what all is available during the sneak-up (not any time soon, I haven’t started dyeing yet! ! lol) or do you want me to spill the beans now?

Well, I’ll spill one bean, the yarn is Beat Sock.

Dyeing update-
The kids are doing a lot better, so much so that I will be dyeing tomorrow night as long as they don’t pull a Ben (my husband) and get bad again after a day of doing better. Fingers crossed.
I found a sport weight I really really like, preskeined it was too skimpy (220 yards in a 100+gr skein, is that too skimpy? I almost never use sport for socks, so I’m not sure what the average is, anyone want to clue me in?) so I’m hoping to order some soon in cone and skein it off myself.

And in wholesale news-
The Loopy Ewe has placed a wholesale order with Perfect Day Yarns!

It feels like just yesterday I was shocked to find a PM from Sheri in my ravmail asking if I’d be interested in wholesaling with her (did she even have to ask?!). I live in a rural-ish area of Ohio, the closest LYS is over an hour away so over the past year TLE has become my favorite LYS, so to have my yarn in my favorite store? Wonderfully trippy.

I’ll keep y’all updated as the yarn is dyed and on it’s way Right now I’m waiting on something to be cleared up before I can order the yarn (gah, more waiting!).

I, again, want to apologize profusely for the lack of shop update. I’m ready to dye, but unable to, hopefully the kids are better soon!

My “full time job” is Mom and my 3 year old got sick last night. He was up all night and is sleeping on and off today. Needless to say, the dyeing did not happen last night and will not happen tonight. I’m sure you all understand family comes first. Thank you for your patience and keep the contest entries coming

It’s a please don’t hate me contest… I have to raise the prices, the new Free Verse Sock will be $21 (was 20), FVS Self-Striping will now be $24 (was 23) & Beat Sock will be $22.50 (was 21.50). I’ll be moving the few skeins I have in stock to the Sale Section tomorrow (reserving one for the contest) to prepare for new stock at the new price. I received the new FVS base yarn (80% superwash merino/20% nylon, 400 yard skeins) and will do some dyeing Saturday night and Sunday night.
