Hi! I’m Sarah, thanks for checking out the Perfect Day Yarns blog!

 I took up Knitting in April of ’06. I was instantly in love. Soon followed a love of yarn and trying my hand at dyeing, for fun. I started with kool-aide, tried paas and very briefly gave Wilton’s a try before jumping into acid dyes. I love all the colors that are available, the possibilities are endless.

My dad used to read poems to use when we were little, my favorite was Poe’s “The Raven” and if anyone is curios my least favorite was Blake’s “The Tyger”, ha. I have my dad to thank for my love of poetry. Growing up I started to write my own and poetry has had a place in  my life since. My daughter is even named after a Poe poem. So it is no surprise that when I started to really get into dyeing that much of my inspiration came from some of my favorite poems. That being said not everything will be inspired form poetry, I do not want to limit myself.
